New Guide Available on Transition to ePrescribing
Oct 7, 2008
CIMM news release
The
eHealth Initiative
(eHI), in collaboration with the
American Medical Association
, the
American Academy of Family Physicians
, the
American College of Physicians
, the
Medical Group Management Association
, and
The Center for Improving Medication Management
(The Center), issued the first comprehensive, multi-stakeholder-informed “how-to” guide to help clinicians make informed decisions about how and when to transition from paper to electronic prescribing systems.
A Clinician’s Guide to Electronic Prescribing
was released at the
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
(CMS) National e-Prescribing Conference in Boston on October 7 and follows the agency’s decision earlier this year to offer financial incentives--beginning in 2009--to providers who adopt e-prescribing.
