New Guide Available on Transition to ePrescribing
Oct 7, 2008
CIMM news release

The eHealth Initiative (eHI), in collaboration with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Physicians, the Medical Group Management Association, and The Center for Improving Medication Management (The Center), issued the first comprehensive, multi-stakeholder-informed “how-to” guide to help clinicians make informed decisions about how and when to transition from paper to electronic prescribing systems. A Clinician’s Guide to Electronic Prescribing was released at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) National e-Prescribing Conference in Boston on October 7 and follows the agency’s decision earlier this year to offer financial incentives--beginning in 2009--to providers who adopt e-prescribing.
